clr is celebrating release number 050 with another impressive remix package. it features two remixes of two different tracks from tommy four sevens recently released debut album >primate< (clrcd010). for this occasion, none other than one of the undisputed founding fathers of detroit techno and minimal techno, robert hood, and the genre-bending dub-techno pioneer sigha have come to the table and have delivered two massive remixes of those highly innovative tracks by the british born, berlin-based producer. also included in the package are >verge<, the original track remixed by sigha, as well as another original track by the name of >g<. to understand why this is a truly memorable release, one has to know that tommy four sevens approach to music is unlike a musician. .

hey is helmut erler, one half of hey-Ø-hansen, the fabulous austro-dub band from berlin that already did three releases for pingipung. in >wuzlguzl< he presents a childrens song from austria. in his original dialect he sings about the five fingers on the hand and what they have to do with the plums on the tree! the flip turns the song into a psychedelic lullaby.

peter presto is not only the founder of pingipung, he is also the chap who did the first release on the label in 2002. since then all of his dub sounds have been available on 7inches, cause its simply the best format for these little gems. for summer of seven he has reworked a theme from a classic computergame adventure in his very own vivid, happy-go-lucky dub style. peter loves the melodies!

manchester based freak seven, known for his releases on new religion a few years back, teams up with renowned vocalist aniff akinola, whose large cv includes co-writing a guy called geralds >voodoo ray<. together they produced two 21st century techno soul tracks that both are on heavy rotation at rh hq ever since they made their way into our offices. nano kids is a pulsating house track which get uplifted by aniffs voice, creating an anthematic message from the future. feel the soul is a more intense, urgent track based around repetitive feel the pressure,.. vocal. its dark, robotic feel will surely cause mayhem on the floor.
